The Friends of Darley Street have been very busy discussing their future with Sustainable Living in the Heatons (SLH) and have reached an agreement to become fully affiliated, effective from 1 January 2024.
Peter Preston of Friends of Darley Street said he was delighted that our committee has unanimously supported the proposed change, and it means our gardening group will continue to be an independent team with control and management of its day to day activities but will follow all policies and procedures of SLH.
Peter added, “I believe this is a very exciting opportunity for our Friends group. It helps to secure our future and allows us to concentrate on what we do best – creating a delightful green space for our community to enjoy.”
